Talk:Model galaxy
✨From tkwa.me
Discussion of Model galaxy. All times are UTC. Comments from Andromeda arrive about 2.5 million years after posting.
Neutrality of the Brackenridge–Halloway Recursion section
Reverted. "Omission" is the Inspectorate's word, and the article cites the Inspectorate. Your source for "proportionate" is a complaint signed by one of the parties. Cepheid_Variable
The Inspectorate is based in the Milky Way and has been intimidated by Andromedan modellers for eleven million years. Everybody knows this. OttoBrack_Enthusiast
Then cite everybody. Separately: by her own complaints, her hairline has been redone at least four times since 11.6 million CE. Which version is the figure supposed to match? Halloway-Quist only ever receives the one from 2.5 million years ago. Cepheid_Variable
Level 3 star size
The Level 3 row gives the Sun-like star as 2.1 m. Level 2 is 183 km, and 183 km ÷ 87.1 is 2.1 km. Somebody has lost a factor of a thousand in a table about getting sizes right. HO_Gauge_Harold
That was me, in the middle of reverting the Level 2 row for the fourth time. I will fix it. Cepheid_Variable
Fix the Level 2 row first. It says "Corrections", which implies there was something to correct. It should say "Corrections begin", making clear who began them. If Level 3 is touched before Level 2, I will revert both. OttoBrack_Enthusiast
Conflict of interest?
OttoBrack_Enthusiast, your edits geolocate to a 2,500-light-year spiral object in the outer halo, you edit only this section, and your first edit was a pasted Guild complaint with the signature still attached. Do you have a conflict of interest to declare? Cepheid_Variable
Requested addition: stars made of implication
Please write up stars made of implication as a technique. Several Andromeda clubs use it now, and Level 11 should be listed as complete. Spiral_Arm_Sam
Message from the other party
This comment will arrive late, so I shall be brief. Level 11 is complete. When it is added to the table, list it as Complete. I note that I have had no reply in the 2.8 million years since sending it, which I take as a concession. Dmitri Halloway-Quist
No reply could reach him before about 39.1 million CE. One was dispatched. It said "Plank." and should have arrived about 300,000 years ago. Concession noted, in advance. OttoBrack_Enthusiast
This section is written from the Andromedan point of view. It calls the plank an "omission" and the hairline an "error", as if a deliberate insult and a proportionate correction were the same kind of thing. The plank is a proportionate correction. I have changed the wording accordingly and will keep changing it. OttoBrack_Enthusiast
