Deletion nomination: independent coverage

Merge into Rat endowment. Another nomination built by counting headlines as independent coverage would make this deletion process a joke. The settlement happened. The nomination concerns a separate article. Of seven newspaper items offered, five appeared in papers owned by Noorderhof and two reproduce its settlement notice. The committee log and mediator's record can verify details; neither supplies independent treatment of the event. I want the page merged unless someone brings independent analysis deeper than another settlement notice; a landlord's ugly conduct is not a source. FootnoteQuarry

Keep. A colony fund bought the newspapers and now its defenders want that purchase to erase the tenants from the record. Noorderhof bought both local papers in 2037. It bought the flats in 2036. You have arranged the sources so that owning the newspapers protects the fund from having a separately documented rent strike. The committee's 4,300 entries do not become less legible when its landlord acquires a printing press. Keep the article, and list every fund-owned report as ownership-affected until someone proves the trustees left its editor alone. DuctWitness

DuctWitness keeps treating primary records as a personal exemption from the sourcing rule. They remain primary records. We cannot turn their availability into evidence of independent coverage. A merger can preserve the levy, strike and settlement. Stop describing the merger as accepting the contractor's count of 61 incidents. I have proposed no such change. Stop counting the committee log as an independent newspaper and I will stop repeating this elementary distinction. FootnoteQuarry

FootnoteQuarry's source table acts as though buying a masthead also bought every editor's keyboard. The editorial charter matters. Staff elected the editor, and the printing allocation was fixed for five years. One paper called the levy “a charge for the privilege of a complaint.” Ownership warrants scrutiny. It cannot settle whether every item was written under the trustees' direction. Read the charter before calling seven reports seven trustee orders; I will oppose a nomination that confuses ownership with authorship. ColophonKeeper

Correcting the word dependent is not a ceremonial surrender of the notability question. The charter does not settle independence. Supply its dismissal clause. The nomination should say independence is disputed. I struck “seven dependent sources” from my rationale. That correction does not establish seven independent accounts. The nomination stays open until the charter's dismissal clause and the sources' actual independence are documented. FootnoteQuarry

Three mastheads, one missing letter

I actually read the seven scans; perhaps the editors counting mastheads could try that before voting. The seven scans tell a less flattering story. Three items, including one owned-paper report, share the settlement notice's “27 Novemer.” They are one textual source. Two other reports contain original interviews. Counting mastheads has inflated both the coverage claim and the nomination's list of dependent accounts. Count textual origins, not mastheads; I will cross out any seven-source claim that treats three copies of 'Novemer' as separate reporting. ImprintDate

The contractor's approach-only cards are being treated like holy writ while our 4,300 logged incidents get sneered at. The interview reports use the contractor's visitor-card returns. Those cards asked whether the visitor was approached. Several reports then described the tenant households as visitors. Do not let another nomination call our log uncorroborated while treating the contractor's visitor card as the uncontested count. DuctWitness

DuctWitness is turning a bad incident count into a theory that no report from those papers can count at all. The category is defective for counting nuisances. That does not make the interviews unusable for proving coverage. A newspaper can cover a dispute badly and still cover it. Retain both incident counts with their collection methods. Keep the interviews in the coverage count, and label their incident method; I will strike any table that conflates those two questions. ColophonKeeper

Here is the independent analysis everyone claimed could not possibly exist. I found a 2042 housing survey, Beneficiaries at Home, pages 88–89. Three paragraphs compare Lindeveld with four other disputes. Publisher: a federation of tenant cooperatives outside Almere. It argues that habitat charges converted maintenance complaints into claims against protected beneficiaries. This is analysis rather than another settlement announcement. Put the survey in the source table now, before the next close pretends the discussion ended with seven clippings. ImprintDate

ImprintDate is waving a tenant-publisher label as if it were an independence certificate. The survey may finally be useful. Did the Lindeveld committee commission those pages? The acknowledgement thanks Hoekstra for access to records. “Tenant publisher” alone does not disqualify it, but a report commissioned by the participants would change the assessment. Give me the commission records before demanding that I promote three survey paragraphs into decisive coverage. FootnoteQuarry

FootnoteQuarry's table has promoted an acknowledgement into tenant funding without checking the accounts. The accounts record ordinary survey expenditure and no Lindeveld payment. Access to records is the only disclosed connection. Your source table currently says “tenant-funded, therefore involved.” There were tenants outside these nine blocks. Correct 'tenant-funded' in the table before any close; leaving a provably wrong dependency label there would rig the result. ImprintDate

The amounts and the relevance column

The restored figures are €4,400 for the levy and €61,200 rising to €65,600 per month. Escrow was €55,038,400: €35,000,000 for repairs and €20,038,400 returned. Please remove “tiny financial dispute” from the nomination. The earlier transcription dropped two zeros throughout. BalanceForward

DuctWitness is trying to make one missing-zero correction win an article. I wrote that phrase and struck it; stop exhibiting it as my current position. I also oppose Duct's edit summary, “fifty-five million should settle notability.” These are nominal euros after post-merger inflation. Adding the missing zeros supplies no additional newspaper coverage. Remove the phrase about the missing zeros from the notability rationale; it is a correction to a transcription, not evidence of attention. ColophonKeeper

Every time we meet one condition, FootnoteQuarry invents a fresh box for this strike to fail. Neither amount settles it; that was never my claim. I want the survey assessed. Yesterday there was no independent source. Today there is one and the table has gained a column called “historical importance.” Its only entry is “local.” Which objection am I supposed to answer? Assess the survey under the original test; I will reject any new column designed solely to make Lindeveld lose. DuctWitness

The new survey has three paragraphs, not a royal decree that every escrow figure deserves its own article. I removed that column. Independence and depth remain relevant. Three analytical paragraphs help; reasonable editors can disagree whether they sustain a standalone account this detailed. The repair allocation is verifiable from the settlement regardless of where we put it. Keep the nomination open; one new survey cannot force closure just because DuctWitness is tired of a source test. FootnoteQuarry

A merge that forgets the audit observer is just deletion with a more respectable button label. The committee also got an observer into each audit. A merger proposal that keeps only the amusing landlord arrangement drops the consequence the housing survey actually discusses. Post the proposed merge paragraph first; I will oppose any close based on a summary nobody has actually written. ImprintDate

Merge proposal and continuing nomination

FootnoteQuarry's supposedly impartial source rule seems to tighten only when the tenants speak. I oppose the merge until someone shows what the parent will retain. Its source table needs the same ownership checks: it cites the same papers for colony expansion. Apparently a fund's acquisition deserves a paragraph in its history, but its tenants' response requires a second publisher. Apply the same independence test to Noorderhof's own history or stop pretending this is an impartial sourcing rule. DuctWitness

DuctWitness is making the perfect summary a veto against any merge. A merger offers a paragraph in the same history. The parent can verify an acquisition with a primary source without every acquisition qualifying for its own page. I have posted a draft retaining the observer and the disputed incident counts. Use the parent paragraph I posted, or admit that the demand for every detail is a veto against merging anything. FootnoteQuarry

The proposed merger is a trick when the parent rejects its 183-word draft. Your draft is 183 words. The parent editor reverted it as undue weight for one estate. Stop listing a merge as an agreed destination while the destination refuses the material. We are told the strike is too narrow for its own article and too detailed for the parent. Where is the proposed account supposed to go? Withdraw the merge proposal unless the parent accepts the observer, incident dispute and levy mechanism; I will not vote for an empty box. DuctWitness

Restored the deletion notice after its third removal. Finding a new source does not close the discussion. Removing the notice because “merge target refuses merge” also anticipates an outcome. Both articles remain available while scope and sourcing are discussed. QueueSteward

The charter's dismissal clause makes this far messier than the neat seven-source caricature in the nomination. The charter permits dismissal for “prejudice to the colony's financial provision.” We still need to establish how that clause operated. Keep the article provisionally with the housing survey added. Any close based on the seven-source count or the original nomination is indefensible. Relist this discussion with both the charter clause and survey in the source table. ColophonKeeper

Discussion extended. No deletion or merger has been authorized. The notice stays. The parent-page dispute needs its own discussion; please do not copy this one there in full. QueueSteward
