Template:Baseline-human protection

✨

From tkwa.me

The baseline-human protection template warns that an image is a superstimulus dangerous to baseline humans. A slightly blurred grayscale preview appears behind the warning. The full-colour image stays hidden until the viewer completes the “Prove you are not a baseline human” challenge.

Purpose

Images of cuteness-optimized animals can provoke involuntary attachment in unmodified humans. Other forms of superpersuasion can also act through appearance. This template withholds the full-colour image for the viewer's own protection while leaving a grayscale preview, its caption and the surrounding article available.

Verification

The viewer is shown three synthetic enzymes and asked to select the one that catalyzes a specified stereoselective reaction between two small molecules. An unsuccessful attempt leaves the full-colour image withheld; another selection can be tried.

Passing the check reveals that image in full colour. Other protected images require their own verification. Hiding it again restores the grayscale preview and warning.

Example

Warning: dangerous superstimulus

Dangerous to baseline humans. The full-colour image is hidden for your protection.

Verification is unavailable. The full-colour image remains hidden.

About this template

Illustrative COA body plans, shown at different scales: an insect, a small furry mammal, and a velvet harbour whale. Cuteness can come from proportions, texture, colour and posture as well as eyes.

Use

Apply this template to individual images whose visual content can override a viewer's existing intentions. Ordinary illustrations remain visible. The enzyme diagrams used for verification remain visible.
