Local Group Accounts Convention

The Local Group Accounts Convention was a regional system for reconciling the physical accounts of participating registries. Its 60-million-CE edition, Reconciled Accounts for the 50-Million-Year Epoch, covered registries within 1.5 megaparsecs of an adopted Local Group barycentre. For that earlier epoch it recorded 20 billion solar masses of ordinary matter in managed custody and 3 × 10³⁶ watts of useful power delivered to final users.

The edition distinguished a stock of matter under control from a flow of energy delivered. It also recorded 12 solar masses of new matter entering custody per year at the reference epoch. Surveyed resources and claims to future collection had separate ledgers; custody began when matter came under registry control. The registries recorded delivered starlight as an energy flow and recovered stellar mass as custody stock. A unit of delivered power appeared once, at final use, even if several registries had handled it along the way.
The ten-million-year gap between the reference epoch and publication allowed reports to travel across a region roughly 9.8 million light-years wide. The common physical boundaries let registries combine returns while retaining their own currencies and measures of value. The resulting totals describe participating registries' reported holdings within the survey boundary. Provision and welfare required accounts of residents' access to services.
Population and provision required further accounts. The earlier 2034 Delft one-person strike involved 64 working copies of an inspector bargaining against their original proprietor: the workers had individual records, while the workshop's assets were recorded under their proprietor. In the later millennial breakfast clubs, members resumed together for one hour every thousand years; their host still maintained dormant records and simultaneous service capacity between meetings. These obligations required maintained-person and resumption records. The later Interregional Accounts Concordance retained the custody and delivery distinctions and added separate population and provision accounts.
